Old Man & Pink Cat 老人與紅貓

This illustration was started many years ago but I'd never finished it until now. The original idea didn't put the pink cat there but a short dark skin brother under the pale man. It was inspired by an Chinese tale ‘Qi Ye Ba Ye'. Well, it ended up with this version.

This work was finished about a month ago. I was inspired by the name of recent famous novel series - Warriors. I spent some time to fix the color management between Photoshop and Painter. I'm glad it was fixed finally.

This gold fish collage work was a sample for kids, though their topic wasn't gold fish but giraffe. I took a photo of it and edited it in Photoshop and Painter. It was fun to do it!

We often make a movement to get away of the unsatisfied current situation, but often, we start feeling being trapped again after novelties become familiar. It is funny the meaning of situation is given by people. People took things differently, the worst happenings for some can be turning points for some others. People chase things that were considered valuable to their lives to match others' philosophy of life but not theirs. In the end, we all need to deal the fragile parts deep inside our spirits. In the sociality of big-feet bird, a male bird with large feet is considered handsome. Therefore, many male bird tries hard to enlarge their feet to reach the standard of perfection. Sadly, there is no perfection of any physical things. The idea of chasing perfection is doom to fail from the beginning.

人們老是再追尋所謂對他們人生“重要的東西”，這些東西往往都是為了要符合別人的價值觀，好讓自己能在他人面前抬頭挺胸。即使如此，到了最後人們還是得獨自面對自己靈魂深處脆弱的部份。在大爪鳥的社會裡，一隻擁有巨大腳爪的公鳥是英俊的

。因此，許多的公鳥都想盡辦法增大自己的爪子，讓它們達到“完美”的境地。可惜完美不存在外在的事物上。追尋完美註定無法實現。

Light-Clay-Gecko Magnets By CommaSprout 輕黏土壁虎磁鐵-李子話畫

Light clay classes were funny for kids and me. I had peaceful and quiet time while they were doing it! Therefore, I made few more Gecko Magnets with different themes. One went dizzy, and the other one went dead (X).

對小朋友和我來說，上黏土課很有趣。這幾堂課非常的"平和安靜"。我也因此多做了幾個不同主題的壁虎磁鐵。一個是走暈路線，另一個則走Ｘ(陣亡)路線。

Fluorescent Gecko (Light Clay) - by CommaSprout 螢光壁虎-輕黏土-李子話畫

This one is my second clay gecko. It's fluorescent. I used pink, orange, green and white acrylic paints to embellish it. I may add a magnet at its belly later.

這是我第二隻黏土做的壁虎。我用螢光粉紅色、綠色、橘色和白色裝飾它。也許以後會在它的肚子上加個磁鐵。

This Wednesday, during a class, I made another double-side owl pen cap as a sample for students. Recently I like leaving my work rough, cross-grained and hand-made veins on their  surfaces. This one was coloured by bright contrasting paints.

這個週三利用上課實做一個示範的雙面貓頭鷹筆蓋給學生當參考。最近喜歡在作品上留下粗糙不規則的手工紋理。這個作品以明亮高對比的方式上色。

李子其實還蠻喜歡玩黏土的，但是不爭氣的雞爪手太敏感了，容易對膠啊什麼東東的隨便過敏，所以就不常給自己機會去玩這黏土。這次整理教室，把一位好朋友的好朋友給的輕黏土翻了出來，還沒乾掉，就拿來玩玩，想到要做個簡單的東西，揉啊揉的就做出幾個小圓圈，毛毛蟲就誕生了，這次做的是醜版的可愛毛毛蟲筆蓋。不曉得為什麼，李子對醜又可愛的東西感到很有興趣！連今天示範給小朋友的安全帽彩繪都畫的很欠揍，改天在貼圖上來！

Playing with clay is always fun for me. The reason that I don't do it often is because my hands are too sensitive to many things. They aren't "handy" sometimes. Few days ago, I found 2 bags of light clay from a good friend's good friend, hmm... I played with it without thinking too much. After a while, there were few spheres to be put together to make an ugly but a little bit cute caterpillar pen cap. I've been always interested in those things that are  fairly called ugly but cute in my eyes. Today, I even drew something like this on the sample for my helmet painting class. I should upload their photos sometimes later.
